Well it's Six Word Saturday again...and this morning I wrote a poem to share with you. My six words are...No Rhyme nor Reason To Life? As you read the poem you will understand where I'm coming from.
If you would like to add your six words today just click on the button and Cate will explain and tell you how to link up.
No Rhyme nor Reason to Your Life?
Does your life have reason …or a little rhyme?
That’s why I write my poetry… to put some rhyme in mine
Life goes by so swiftly… and often without plan
We just wake up each morning… and do the best we can
Do things fit together…or is it all hodge-podge?
Do you merge in traffic…or do you have to dodge?
Dodging all the bullets… that life can shoot at you
Can make you grow so weary…like a pebble in your shoe
Trodding down life’s highway…without a map in hand
Can make you feel like Alice in her crazy wonderland
When you come upon the detours… and you don’t know where to go
May I suggest the Bible?…it has all you need to know!
It is indeed a guide book…and has a clear set plan
The Lord gave inspiration as he penned it through mere man
It clearly shows the pathway that leads you straight to Him
But unless you read it… you won’t see the path begin
Right from the beginning… He tells us of His love
And how it is His pleasure to shower us from above
We face storms in our lifetime…but we are not alone
He walks through them beside us…and invites us to His throne
I have knelt inside His throne room… and laid burdens at His feet
He invites me to His table… and He gives me food to eat
He knows that I grow weary…feel so weak …and even sad
But He wraps His arms around me…as does a loving Dad
If your life has no rhyme nor reason…you need to know my Dad
In fact He will adopt you …and you’ll be so very glad
You won’t feel lost, or lonely…or frazzeled anymore
If you’ll simply oil the hinges… and open your heart’s door
He’ll give your life some reason…and it will flow like rhyme
And all you need to do for Him… is give Him of your time
Give time… when you awaken…some time… before you eat
And time… before you go to sleep, to sit still at His feet
Take time… to say I’m sorry… for the things that I have done
And time… to feel His mercy, and forgiveness all in one
There's time… to cry some tears of joy…and feel His gentle care
And time…to talk to others of how He got you there
Yes…it really is that simple…yet people make it hard
They work and struggle on their own…like prisoners chained to guards
Jesus has the keys… and He’ll unlock your chains
Set you free, and give life reason…and put rhyme into your veins
So I guess you get the story I am trying to convey
Accept my dear, sweet, Jesus... and go on about your day

thanks for the poem. Yes, it is so easy...why do we make it so hard? I guess it's cause we're human...stubborn and wanting to do things on our own.
