We Had A Blast In Branson!~~Six Word Saturday
These are my six words today for Six Word Saturday.
We took our youngest daughter and her four kids and headed to Branson, Mo. this past Sunday, and we stayed for 6 days and 5 nights. We once again stayed at the Still Waters Resort,, and as usual it was a great place to stay...especially when you have kids with you.
They are located at Indian point on Table Rock Lake, and there are boat docks where you can rent speed boats or pontoons. And they have kayaks, paddle boats, and tubes that you can use for free.
SWR has three pools, each with hot tub spas... and the newest pool is the Cabana pool with a waterfall and a little bridge that crosses over the pool. They have big outdoor beds and huge umbrellas over them so that you can be in the sun or the shade as you stretch out in comfort.
Our kids spent a lot of time in the pools and they also visited the playground area and the game room. Grandpa showed some of them how to throw horseshoes...(He is pretty good at it, so he threw a ringer to show them how it was done!)
We spent a couple of days at Silver Dollar City. (It is just a few minutes away from the resort) And the first day we were there all day. It was pretty hot, so the water rides were fun, and the kids were soaked most of the time. Grandma hit a couple of those myself, and even grandpa towards the end of the day. SDC has a wide variety of rides, so there is something for every level of thrill seeker, and a good time was had by all!
We went to see The Moscow Circus one evening, which is a great family show with a variety of acts and a love story that is told throughout the program. It was good, so if ya get a chance to go, we really recommend it.
We all went miniature golfing and finished just as it started pouring down rain.
And before that our daughter and the kiddos all drove the go-carts at the track, and the kids did the bumper boats.
The hills in Branson are so beautiful with all of the huge trees, and we enjoyed our rides through them each day as we headed for our destination for that day's entertainment.
We had a very nice meal one night at Ruby Tuesday's, and one night at The Rib Crib...but we also cooked in the condo, and went for Pizza and other fast foods.
Two nights we ate in the condo because we had to see the American Idol Finale. (Yay Lee!) We were happy that he won...but Crystal is very talented too, and I am sure she will have a good career. Oh...and it won't be the same without Simon!!!! (sad)
The grandkids had our laptop and their phones, so they didn't suffer too much with being away from their friends. They were always just a text away, or a facebook check.
John and I loved being with our daughter and her kids who's ages are 10, 11, 13, and 14. And of course we love going to Branson. We go at least a couple of times a year, since it is just a 5 hour drive.
If you want a fun vacation why not go to Branson, Mo. They now have an airport for those of you who live further away.
Well that's my story for this Saturday.

Your trip sounds wonderful. I've always wanted to go to Branson--and almost got to go once, but we backed out. My friend has been several times and loves it.
The beach was wonderful today. We grilled and ate right beside the ocean. It was heavenly. In fact, we just got home an hour ago!
Sounds like everyone had a good time. I have had friends I know go there to visit. I think it would be somewhere I might like to go someday.
Have a great holiday weekend !!
