I Love the ...Love Comes Softly Series

Years ago I read the Janette Oke series called Love Comes Softly and I enjoyed them so much! I was thrilled when they made them into movies and one by one I have collected them and watched them over and over again. Tonight on the Hallmark channel they began the replaying of the series again and even though I own them, I sat here and watched the first one on TV, since I was on the computer. It had been awhile since I have watched the first one and I had forgotten how much I loved it. I think the first one is my very favorite!

I enjoy the Christian message this first part of the series contains. The lead character, Clark, is a godly man who's faith is great. It is also just good family entertainment, and we don't get enough of that these days it seems.

I know they are very popular and probably most people have read the books and seen the movies...but just in case you haven't...I would encourage you to do so.

So my six words are:

Watch The Love Comes Softly Series

I read the whole series as well. I love the movies, although I'm not sure if I've seen all of them. Yes, I like the theme as well...love and God intertwined makes things so much better. "-> God bless.

I love this series, too. My dh and I have enjoyed the movies made from these books. Good message.

Have you ever read any of Francine Rivers books? They are really good. The first one I ever read was Redeeming Love, and I could hardly put it down. It's based on the book of Hosea in the Bible. I enjoyed it so much that I've ordered another of her books, A Lineage of Grace. It's the story of five different Biblical women.

Howdy Linda!
I have to agree...this is a wonderful series. I don't know how many times I have watched it and never tire of it.

Linda, Sometime when you get to my neck of the woods...let's have coffee and a chat! I can show you all the sights in about 5 minutes...hehehe.

Small town living in a nutshell.

Love Comes Softly is a GOOD, down home entertainment with a wonderful message. Need to watch it again.

Sweet day to you,
d

Growing up, I was always into the Babysitters Club series. In fact, I read them in order. :~)
It wasn't until I turned 20 that I picked up Jeanette Oaks books. My Grandmother had them on her bookshelf and one summer, they just caught my eye. I too was surprised when they actually turned them into movies. I recommend them as well to anyone looking for a good humble story.

Hi Linda ~~ I like your six words.

That is nice that these are on TV. I am sure that I can find them. Mrs. Jim and I used to sell Christian books as a side-line and we sold a lot of Jeanette Oakes books.
Mrs. Jim read them but I didn't. I just asked her now and she said that she had given them all away.
..
I am glad that you had a nice birthday. Your daughter was nice. Aren't daughters nice for the most part!
Thank you for peeking in on me.

Thank you for all of your sweet and encouraging words that you have shared with me!!

I asked my dad if he thought our antique stores were open in Alma on Monday's. I think our one big one is but the two others I'm thinking are closed on mondays.

It would be so much fun if you can antiquing this direction! Have a blessed day...

It's been so long since I read that series, I was thinking of listening to the audio series they have at the library. I like those type books!

Oh my gosh...I just watched one of these on TV yesterday. Construction was going on outside and I had to drown out the noise. I was sooo happy to find the sweet movie!

Thank you for visiting me today, Linda! Always SUCH a JOY to have to stop by!

Love to you~

I read the series and loved it. I haven't seen all of the movies, but I'd like to see the rest. I don't think they are following the same story though are they?
