Oh what a beautiful morning! We got rain!!!! I woke up around 4:30 and heard the rain hitting the windows and I felt so happy. I snuggled the pillow and turned over and went back to sleep. When I got up a couple of hours later it felt so good to look out and see moisture.
This summer we have had a lot of 100 temps...and I was starting to feel like a hermit cuz I didn't feel like going out in the heat. The grass was getting brown spots where the sprinklers didn't hit...and the plants were drooping and turning brown. My friends on Facebook were talking about doing a rain dance if the hot spell continued! ha! I'm so glad that God gave us some showers...what a blessing.
I know we will still have some more heat before Autumn arrives...but I am thankful for a little break, and for the rain!
To everything there is a season... and a time for every purpose under heaven!
The only sad thing is ...my hubby and a few friends had an early golf time and had to cancel...but there will be other days for them to golf.

We live in Oklahoma, and our area had rain today, too. Bad part is, when the sun came out and the temperature went up, it got really muggy!
it isn't raining here yet but the humidity broke so it has a fallish cool feel that is so nice. :) we need rain so badly though!

Oh not much. I worked and then came home and did a few things round the house and caught up some more online.
Hi Linda! We got rain today, too! It poured for half the day and we really needed it. Now the sun it back out and the humidity is 60% and temp back near 90. I know what you mean about being a hermit!
It was HOT and just the normal school day. Carly was teething today and just a little xtra fussy but we made it. It might cool down in a couple days.

Autumn can't come soon enough for me! But, it's been raining alot this summer and still too hot! :D
We have had rain (actually Thunderstorms) off and on last week. But today it is a bit cooler and the humidity is down a bit. (I love that because we people in the HVAC (Heating, ventilation, air conditioning) field sure could use a break from the heat a bit. (Peoples tempers tend to rise as much as the humidity). So today the phones are a bit quieter, and for that I am grateful.
However, say an extra prayer for my Big (owner) boss today. He is getting a lung transplant today. I also want to remember the family of the donor in their time of sorrow. Glad he is getting his new lungs, but sad that someone had to give their life so he could get his new ones.
