"The Story" Tour... ~ ~ ~...Amazing!

Last night my husband and I decided at the last minute to go to see "The Story" concert, as it opened its tour here in Wichita yesterday. We just went to the window, and thought they would take credit cards...but they didn't, but between the two of us we came up with enough cash to buy the tickets! (It was a "God thing" I'm sure!)

Once we got in line we saw 5 couples who have been our friends for years, but we hadn't seen them for quite a long while...so that was a special treat! All of these couples had prayed along with me for 15 years that my husband would become a Christian, and they all rejoiced with me 17 years ago when that finally happened! We are all family in Christ! Lots of greetings and hugs were going on in that line. It was beautiful. There is just nothing like sharing Jesus!

We all used to go to church together, but God has taken each of us in different directions over the years...yet we are still so connected by our faith, and our love for Him, and for each other. It was a joy to know that we were all there to usher in the Christmas season by seeing "The Story"...and by worshiping Him together. Although there were thousands in attendance there was a unity in Christ. Isn't that what heaven will be like? It was Glorious!!!

If "The Story" comes to your town or one near-by I hope you will go see it. It will be a Christmas blessing for you. If you know someone who needs Jesus but doesn't know Him yet, invite them to go with you. Max Lucado gives an invitation to accept Christ at the end, and we all prayed the prayer together either in affirmation or in new acceptance of Him.

Here is a list of the people in it:
Max Lucado, Steven Curtis Chapman, Newsboys, Francesca Battistelli, Natalie Grant, Selah, and Anthem Lights. All of them performed while on screen there are pictures and video that tell the story from Genesis to Revelation. It is so moving. What better way to focus on Jesus this Christmas?

Click on the button at the top of the post to see the cities on the tour!

And there is also an great CD and DVD available if you can't make it to the concert!

Oh Linda how great. Steven Curtis Chapman was one of the first Christian singers I listened to when I got saved. I remember I went to a concert with some singles from my church and Steven Curtis was the opening act. Imagine that. Some time ago. hah
He came out with just an acoustic guitar and played. I loved it.
So glad you had a blessed evening and how neat to run into your friends. Heaven is going to be awesome !

Sounds very awesome! And how precious to have friends that are always friends even when your paths have taken you different directions. And incidentally, I was excited to see where you are from. I live about 80 miles west of Wichita.

Hello Linda!
Sweet December Blessings to you!
Mercy sakes it's cold where I live. I hope to go to town this afternoon when the temps will warm to 41. Brrrr thankful it's not this cold all year round.

What a neat experience to see friends and rejoice together. This tour sounds like a great thing!

This is so neat that these friends prayed for your husband to become a Christian and then see this happen! Exciting for you to see your husband come to Christ and then to grow in the Lord to where you get to see it first hand.

When my husband finally kneeled to God's submission....it was a mix of emotions for me.....seeing him change before my eyes has been life changing.

Thank you for your sweet words of encouragement ablout blogging! Happy Anni to you as well!

I am blessed to know you!

One day soon I'd like to venture out and have lunch with you or coffee or both!

Have a great day and God bless,
d
