Hi...Happy Saturday...These are my six words today:
"Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled...!"
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Sometimes I am afraid of the silliest things. I worry and fret and fear...almost before I realize what I am doing...it just seems to come upon me. Then I remember this verse...and many others like it in the Bible, which tell me to simply trust in God. Psalm 56:3 "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee." I have repeated this verse many times...in various situations...and peace replaced my fears.
When it tells us to "let not"... it implies that we have a choice...that we can choose not to fear, and to not be troubled. "Let not"...your heart be troubled..."neither let"...it be afraid. (It is a surrendering...and an act of faith to place our trust in Him, and to lay those troubles at His feet.) Today I am choosing to give my worries to Him...how about you?

Hmmh. Worrying about nothing much is one of my specialities, Linda, so I do take your point. :)

It is truly a choice, to rest and trust instead of allowing my heart to fear. I would like to say I just trust more than fear, but sometimes fear takes over. Thanks for sharing!
Howdy Linda,

One of my favorite passages. We are so blessed with God's Word (His Son) and God's Word, the Bible.
I sometimes go that long too. :)
This is a nice post now that you've done it.
