(This poem came to me as I thought about Valentine's Day and how people long for romance. Everyone can have true love and never be lonely again if they will simply surrender to the Masters call and give their hearts to Him)
I’ve felt the music in my heart
My feet have done the dance
My life’s been taken to extremes
As I have found romance
Nothing has remained the same
Everything is new
The sunlight has a brighter sheen
The grass now glistens with the dew
The air feels fresher as I breathe
The rose has fragrance sweet and rare
My senses now feel sharp and keen
My heart has been made free from care
I once was broken and cast down
My face was so forlorn
My hopes were dashed, my dreams had died
My faith from me was torn
But now my soul sings happy tunes
As down the path I trod
Romance has been a gift to me
And brought me close to God
Who knows me better than the one
That wooed me with his love?
He laid his life down for my sake
And gave me new life through his blood
I first resisted his sweet call
And wrestled with my fears
But he romanced me with his love
And I accepted through my tears
And soon he’ll whisk me far away
To mansions in the sky
I will his bride forever be
And never leave his side
Romance may seem a silly word ….
But I can tell you true
This same romance can change your life
And make you feel brand new!

Amen, Linda! I feel like I'm being romanced right now. My life is moving in a new direction, my fears are starting to vanish, and my love for the Lord has never been so strong! I'm so excited and your poem is perfect for what I'm feeling right now!!
Hi again! I just did a post on blogs I love today, in honor of Valentine's Day, and I mentioned yours on there if you have time to read it!
Kristin
Dear Kristin, Thank you for the nice comments you made in your post about my blog and also about Lynnette's and Abigail's. That was so very sweet of you.
I have to tell you that you have moved my heart too,...and I have motherly feelings for you!
On Weds. there are so many blogs to read that it takes a good part of the day, so I don't often go to the other posts of the bloggers on that day,...but today I read several of your previous posts. Your girls are so cute, and you sound like a good mother.
The post called "A Testimony", about your cousin's salvation was so touching. I praise God for his salvation. The cane/walking stick story was awesome. Yes, God does things like that to show us that He is real, and that He works in mysterious ways. I had to stop and pray for your cousin right then.
God delivered my husband from drinking when he got saved. He had drank for 30 years, but the day he got saved God delivered him from it and he never drank again,...and that was over 14 years ago.
The same God that died and rose again for us,... gives us salvation and victory through that same awesome power...the power of the Holy Spirit that lives in us.
I am so glad that you are on this spiritual journey. It is exciting to live for Jesus. Everyday He has blessings for us!
Have a great day!
Linda
Greetings from Ireland! Thanks for your recent visit to the blog and was delighted to hear that it was an encouragement to you.
I believe your daughter, Lynette, is a lot like you. :)
God bless,
Naomi
Hi Linda,
I love this beautiful poem...how true it is. Just wanted to thank you for stopping by and becoming a follower of my blog. Your daughter Lynette is such an inspiration to me, and to so many. And your granddaughter, Abigail has many beautiful gifts, as well. What an amazing family you have!
Blessings to you,
