Epic Cheese Video...and Misc. Monday!

Random Post~~~for Miscellany Monday

(1.) Two of my Grandkids (Jared and Abigail) have a site called...The Epic Cheese...and they just did the cutest music video called...21 Pizzas! It is silly and should make you smile!

(2.) God has been answering so many of our prayers! I never want to fail to acknowledge Him when He brings answers! Thank you Jesus! Sick people we have prayed for are well, or improving,...surgeries have gone well and people have returned home from the hospital,...people who needed salvation got saved, (Joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth Luke 15:7),...financial issues we were praying about for ourselves and others have been taken care of,... some of the people we have been praying for who needed jobs have gotten them,...and the list goes on and on. God is so Good!

(3.) I had a headache this weekend, so I stayed home and these people kept me company...

I had a Waltons Marathon while I was laying around with my headache! Do you like those old shows? I do!

Today is the start of another week, and God has taken the headache away...and to me that is a huge blessing! I feel so free when those headaches go away!

(4.) Spring is just around the corner. I am looking forward to it. I plan on doing some walking and getting outside more on nice days. I plan to sit in the sun each morning to soak up some Vitamin D. (:>) Hoping to go to the Garden show again this year.

(5.) I bought some new pillows and a few misc. items to brighten up my decor a little bit, and I am enjoying them. I guess I kinda have spring fever! (:>)

This Baby Needs Prayer!

And also please pray for this little baby named Crew White. Here is a note about his condition.

Crew is fighting his little heart out against some swelling and other issues from a 12+ hour long operation yesterday to try to correct his condition called Bladder Exstrophy. Please pray for this sweet baby boy, for strength and healing, and for peace for his worried momma. (Marie)

Update From Marie:

Crew is still on the vent, his kidneys are damaged from everything that's going on and they are concerned that it is becoming permanent.
Also they are still trying to give him time to battle his own blood pressure in fear of making his kidneys more stressed by assisting with medicine, unless it turns dangerously high.

He is having a very rough time right now and is being very difficult to sedate and his blood pressure and heart rate were very concerning to them.
As we speak he is getting an arterial line because blood draws are no long working, he is clotting to bad. So he is knocked out and paralyzed. He can't catch a break.

Let's all pray that today will be the day for a breakthrough.

Thanks for your thoughts, emails and prayers.

*Note*...Marie just posted on Facebook (Sunday) that Crew is breathing on his own! Thanks for praying! God is answering!!!!

Please Pray For Kelly

Fellow Bloggers...please pray for Kelly who has a staph infection in her face. In just a matter of a few days it has gotten so much worse. I just feel a burden to do this post and ask for prayer for her. This has got to be miserable for her.

She is in the hospital, and I know she is missing her husband and children. Let's pray for quick healing for this beautiful lady.

I had a staph infection in my sinuses once and had to have surgery. They packed my sinuses with medicated gauze, and it was painful. She is on IV meds and antibiotics, and I am hoping this will help. This all started with a little bump on her nose. So be careful to wash your hands and to not scratch a sore, as it can get infected and spread.

Kelly believes in the power of prayer! People all around the world prayed for her baby Harper when she was born with some serious health issues, and she was healed. Kelly is trusting God...let's join her in trusting Him to bring her quick healing and restored health. Pray for her husband Scott and their girls Harper and Hollis...and for Kelly and Scott's parents who are helping out. My heart just goes out to her.

Thanks!

Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.

Please Pray for this Dying Soldier

A young friend of ours, Hal Neukirch Jr. could use your prayers.
He is a 39 year old soldier who found out he had a brain tumor while he was serving in Afghanistan. He had surgery, but the tumor grew back. He has had several treatments, but it keeps returning. He is terminal...and he has a dying wish. I am including a link where you can view a couple of videos about his situation. I am asking you to please pray for him, and for his sweet wife Pamela, and for his sister Tiffany and her family, and also for his mom Rita, and his dad Hal Sr. Please pray that God's grace will be with them, and that He will give them strength during this time. Pray that He will comfort them and give them peace.

Hal Sr, worked with my husband John for several years and then his son Hal Jr. went to our church for many years, and we got to know him better. He is an amazing young man, with a lot of faith in the God he loves. Our hearts are just breaking for him and his family. The first video was a plea to raise money to bring him home from Fort Hood in Texas, to ElDorado, Kansas where he grew up. This is his final wish...to see his hometown before he dies.

People who love him and those who were touched by his story, have given generously and they raised the money to fly him home with a medical crew and oxygen...but then, another wonderful thing happened... "Eagle Med" here in Wichita, volunteered to fly him free of charge! (Praising God for their generosity!) The funds that were raised will now be used to help another family in a similar situation. (Our God works in mysterious ways!)

A Big THANK YOU to Eagle Med....and to all of those who have given to this fund. I love to see people working together in such a loving way. Eagle Med has a crew on stand-by, and they are ready to fly, as soon as Hal Jr. is able to travel. He had a collapsed lung on Thursday night, so this has caused a travel delay.

Thank you for praying for this family. And may God bless you too!

Pictures from Saturday's 50's Party

I thought I would post some of the pictures from our church's Valentine's Day 50's party that we had on Saturday night. It was so much fun. All ages attended from young to old. The entertainment was good....and it was like taking a stroll down Memory Lane.

These are my Six Words today:

Going to a 50's Party Tonight!

Have you ever gone to a 50's Party? They can be kinda fun. We are having one at our church tonight. The 50's theme is for our annual Sweetheart Banquet. Last year we had a Cruise Ship Theme, and it was really elaborate...so this year we are going more casual. My husband collects soda fountain stuff like antique soda items and ice cream stuff, so he helped out a little bit by making a soda fountain area.

He came home and told me they are decorating real cute...and they even have some vintage cars parked outside the doors as people go in. And somebody brought a juke box in to decorate too. It doesn't work, but it lights up. So that will add to "the look".

I bought a fake ponytail to clip on...and I will have my rolled up jeans, charm bracelet and various other articles of clothing to take me back to that era.
Hubby will be going a a "soda jerk"!!!!

We had a family 50's party before and it was fun.

Our daughter Lynnette and her hubby Kyle, at the party

I used to love to hula hoop in the 50's when I was a kid. Here is a picture of our sweet little Anna with a hula hoop at one of our family parties many years ago.

Daughter Lisa and hubby Brad at our 50's party

Cool Harrison! Our grandson who was 3 at the time

Adelynn, our youngest granddaughter was one of the waitresses.

Grandson Jonas was helping Grandpa serve up the food!
Here he is being silly in the soda fountain room.

This is our grandson Jared kinda looking like he is from the 50's. He is holding Kombucha Tea bottles...not wine! ha! His momma makes it. Have you ever had Kombucha Tea? It is so good for you. I love it.

Hopefully I will get some good pictures tonight at the party to share soon.
(If we don't look too goofy! Ha!)

Happy Saturday Everyone!
