Organic Summer Peaches at Fresh Market

I had delicious organic peaches for breakfast...with some sliced up organic bananas! Oh yummo...I enjoyed every bite!

Yesterday my husband and I went to the new Fresh Market in Wichita. I was delighted to see their huge fresh produce section! I had been craving fresh peaches, but I wanted organic, since conventional peaches are one of the most heavily-pesticide-sprayed fruits, and I am very sensitive to chemicals. I had looked other places, and either they didn't have any...or they were not anywhere close to being ripe and juicy. So I was delighted to come across these at Fresh Market.

Don't you love a fresh juicy peach in the summer? I am so glad I finally found some.

I wish we would get a health food store here in our smaller town. We do have a Dillons with an organic section, but they don't have a huge variety, so I have to drive several miles if I need something that they don't carry. I know that it costs more to eat organic...but I have several food allergies and sensitivities, and so I feel it is necessary.

I am thankful for all that we do have available in our town. And I really like Dillons for most things. We were blessed to get a new Dillons Marketplace not long ago, and I love having it close by. But Wichita has a Natural Grocers, and a Fresh Market, Whole Foods, as well as several other health food stores. We usually visit them when we have additional stops to make in Wichita, to save on gas.

So, I will certainly enjoy these Fresh Market peaches...and the fresh organic veggies I bought to juice. I am thankful for the bounty of delicious food that God has given us. How about you?

Wow! Those pictures are really great and the peaches look and sound wonderful. We have Whole Foods and Sunflower Market close so usually have a good organic selection of whatever is in season. The peaches from Colorado's western slope have been wonderful this year.

Hi Linda,
You make me want to take a hike up to Fresh Market:) Nothing like fresh, juicy peaches!
You have such a lovely blog...makes me want to go clean up the look of mine...one of these days, because it will take at least a day to figure out what i did.

Well, you DO have some handsome birthday boys there. What a beautiful family you and John have. I can see you are truly blessed...and most of all, that you realize it and are so grateful. So happy you stopped by so I could get to know you better!

In our little town, we no longer even have a grocery store. We have to drive about 15 miles for the nearest Walmart. I love Fresh Market, but it is two hour away. It is a treat when we get to go there.

Sounds soooo yummy, Linda. Nice Six Words.

We have two bags, of one and of five, in our refrigerator. They aren't organic so I wash them really good. Right now I'll put away the remnants of cinamin toast with cream cheese (lite) and strawberry preserves with coffe and get us the 'one' to share, Mrs. Jim and me.

You definitely have me craving fresh peaches now, Linda... those look wonderful!! We have a new organic grocery store near here, haven't been there yet, but intend too. We're looking for healthier alternatives too!

Love the adorable photo of the two you in Hawaiian mode! :-)

I'm more of a cherries and bilberries tarty sort of person, if you know what I mean. Glad you found them, though.

Not a big fan of eating peaches, but reading about them always makes me drool, for some reason :)
