Six Word Saturday

Said Good-bye To Our Friend...Again!

Last month we flew to Arizona to comfort our friend Toni who had just lost her husband...our friend Max. We spoke at his Arizona service and joined his friends and family who were grieving his passing.

This week our friends flew here to Kansas with Max's ashes to lay him in his resting place...and we had another memorial here this morning. It was bittersweet. Until now it hadn't really seemed final to me. But at the cemetery today it finally hit me. It is always so hard to know that our loved ones are actually going to be placed in the ground. But on the other hand it was a reminder that when we are believers in Jesus Christ, this life is not all there is. We know that Max is in heaven waiting for us to join him there sometime in the future.

So we said our final good-byes here on earth today...Again...but we look forward to our reunion in heaven.

How sad but I know what you mean about believers who die. There's such peace in knowing that you'll see them again. But of course, in the meantime we miss and mourn them.

Blessings and love,
Debbie

I'm sorry that you had to say goodbye to your friend, but am happy you know you'll see him again.

My husband's aunt passed away last week. She wasn't a Christian and he said that's the hardest part.

I lost my mother and father not long ago, but I know they went to Heaven, for they were both Christians and loved their Lord Jesus.

God bless you and your family!

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. I have a hard time as well when friends die but it's a comfort when I'm able to go to the funeral and it's my final goodbye til we meet again. Buried a friend in Sept and that was sad, but again, we will meet again on the other shore. It's so wonderful that there is a promise of heaven for those who believe. That's a comfort for us left behind. Hugs to you, my dear! My prayers as well.:0)

I know it's hard to say goodbye but it's nice to know that we will get to see them again one day. I remember when I lost Granparents and my Dad. It hurt but I know even through it all I will see them again.
Thinking of you and your friends family. Prayers and {{HUGS}}
