Six Words Saturday

Love My Friend Of Thirty Years

This is my sweet friend Toni, and we have been great friends for 30 years. Recently she lost her husband Max. I have blogged about our friend Max and how we will miss him. But today I just want to say what an amazing woman my friend Toni Kay is. She has faced a lot this past year during her husband's battle with Cancer. She was with him every step of the way, cheering him on in his fight for life. Loving him, and caring for him everyday. And now she is facing life without him. I know this will be extremely hard to be without her 43 year companion, who was the love of her life. With God's help, and the love of her family I know this strong woman will be just fine. I know I will be keeping her in my prayers.

I have enjoyed having her here for the last couple of weeks, but tomorrow she will fly back home to Arizona. I am going to miss her so much.

Today we went to a museum and out to lunch with Toni, so we could enjoy our final day with her. This special friendship is so comfortable and so special, I am sure it can go on for at least another 30 years! I thank God for the blessing of friendship, and for my special friend Toni.

Oh, Linda, I'm so sorry for your friend! My sympathies to her. May God give her strength especially in marking all the 'firsts' she will be without her Max. So glad the Lord gave you to her to be there in person and in prayer.

There is nothing like life long friends. What a blessing! I had read your past blog post about Max's death. I think that was when you came to Phoenix, if I remember correctly. I'm sure Toni is blessed having you as a friend; one who can love her and encourage her especially in this time of grieving, loss and transition.

Blessings and love,
Debbie

PS I saw photos of your daughter Lynnette and one of my favorite bloggers Jill of Forever N Ever N Always today. I wish I had been able to attend the Relevant conference.

Life long friends are truly a blessing from God. They say if you have 2 or 3 your entire life you are very fortunate indeed.

Dear Linda,
God bless you both! Close friends are a treasure.

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend Max. May God comfort you and his wife.

Thank you for your visits. I always enjoy hearing from you. I am feeling pretty good when I sit. My mind is alert, but my ole body complains when I'm walking.

I still have Ablation to go through. Looking forward to this treatment in November.

God bless you,
d

Those lifelong friendships are such a blessing! I love my dear, sweet friends who know me through and through (the ones who finish my sentences and make me giggle until I'm dangerously close to having an accident!).

I will definitely say a prayer for Toni!
