We had a Costume Birthday Party Again!

Julia

And Silas

We had a fun birthday party for our granddaughter Julia who is turning 14 tomorrow...and for our grandson Silas who recently turned 11. Julia wanted to make it a costume party, so we did. Not everyone dressed up in a costume, but most of us did.

Some us girls were gypsies...and one preferred to be called a hippy. (:>)

These three were, Son-in-law Brad, who was Hank the Mechanic, granddaughter Bailey was a cowgirl, and my daughter Lisa came as an "unfinished project"!! She pinned a lot of her unfinished knitting projects on her. This reminded me that we are all unfinished projects, because God isn't finished with us yet! (:>)

My husband John was a goofy looking Olympic wannabe! He is always a good sport, and tries to make us laugh! (:>)

Luke Skywalker (Silas) had fun with his brother Jonas who was Captain America in his younger days...and his brother Harrison who was a character from Doctor Who.

Will came right after work, so he was in his Pizza Hut work clothes! He cooks, so he had a bit of flour and stuff on him, but we didn't care! (:>)

This is a picture of the two USA guys...one who was trying to be nerdy...and one who is more hip! Ha!

The Cookie Monster was there! (:>)Really it is granddaughter Adelynn Rose!

Cecily Kate was one of the "Doctor's" assistants. But she just looked cool as usual. She is such a sweetie!

And speaking of sweet kids...

Brandon was here...and so was his sister Alex...They are our new family members through our daughter Lonna's recent marriage...and we love them. They are great kids!

Of course we had presents...and lots of food, and brownies and ice cream too, so a good time was had by all. (:>) We were missing our grandson Caleb who had gone fishing with a friend, and our son-in-law Kyle who stayed home with grandson Jared to finish some flooring they were putting in their laundry room, because their house is being sold.

There are lots more pictures, but these give you the idea of what goes on at our family gatherings!

I hope y'all will have a safe 4th of July. I am thankful for our freedoms...and I am praying for America!

God Bless America!

It is truly delightful and heartwarming to see so many family members get into the spirit and participate in this dress-up affair. I can tell you were all having a good time, and I know that love was overflowing. This is how life is supposed to be, your children and grandchildren are a credit to their upbringing! :-)
