The Beauty Of The Earth Points Us To Heaven

Photobucket
"Give Me Your Best Shot" is when you take your best photo and post it on Fridays and link up with others who are doing the same thing. Some of us have trouble just picking one,...but I think that's ok. Just click on the button above. Join us,...it's fun! ((smile))

There is nothing better than looking at the beautiful handiwork of our God! It was my first time to see Yellowstone, and I enjoyed it very much. When we saw the geyser, "Old Faithful", I pondered awhile as I sat and watched it,...and it made me think of the Lord's faithfulness to me. I felt like I was in His presence. I always feel like that, when I am out among the trees, or gazing at a lake, or the ocean, or looking at the mountains. As we hiked up to look at a waterfall I again thought of His power.

The Bible says that if we won't praise Him He can cause the stones to cry out! I think they already cry out in praise to our Creator. I love the beauty of the earth!!! Lord,...I praise you!!!!

My last post was a poem about missing my sister who passed away in January. She lived in a very beautiful place,...Brookings, Oregon. When I was going through my pictures to add to that post, I saw a lot of these pictures that we took while we were visiting her once, and I thought of all of the beauty that she lived around.
I had told her many times that she had "heaven right here on earth",...or that "she lived in paradise". Well, she has moved on now to even greater beauty.

I just felt like blogging about the beauty of the earth today,...and to lead us on towards thinking of heaven's beauty. If the Creator gave us such beauty in this world,...just imagine how wonderful Heaven must be!

Wow! Those are such beautiful photos! It just makes it seem obvious that there is a Creator! I don't see how anyone can deny that. I hope one day I will be able to travel and see all of those beautiful places.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday tomorrow!!

Wow! Those places are both very beautiful! I have never been to either, but your pictures of Yellowstone make my heart hurt with their loveliness. . .

I hope you all have a great 4th, too! We're hanging out with my parents- and getting ready to celebrate our 1st anniversary on Sunday!

Talk to you soon-Sarah

These were so beautiful pictures Linda! Over the weekend,I just stood in awe of the area I live in. I have always lived here, but never really saw anything special about it. And then something inside of me changed. I realized just how blessed I am to live where I do! We are surrounded by God's beauty!

I'll be posting later in the week about an awesome spot we went to yesterday! I'm not really an outdoorsy kinda girl, but I'm trying to work on that a little bit as my Hubby is super outdoorsy and I really want to start appreciating the things that he enjoys so that we can spend more quality time together!
