My Birthday

August 19th was my 59th birthday, and I had a very lovely day! First of all the night before my husband surprised me with these beautiful flowers. He did a good job don't ya think?

They look so pretty sitting on my buffet, and I can see them when I am in the kitchen cooking or cleaning up. I love flowers! They brighten my days and make me think of my Creator.

(Click on the names and visit the blogs of these special people)

When I checked my blog that morning my daughter Lynnette and her daughter Abigail had hijacked my blog and put a big Happy Birthday greeting at the top of my blog with a picture of them! And she also told me Happy Birthday on the bottom of her post on her blog that morning.

My daughter Lisa told her "Mamasita" Happy Birthday on Facebook, and my daughter Lonna called me from work to say it too. And some of my other grandkids wished me well too. We are having a family get together on Monday at Lynnette's house to celebrate 3 birthdays.

I got so many cards from friends and more Facebook greetings than I could count, and well wishes from my bloggy friends too! Including a balloon bouquet and greeting on my friend Angie's blog,...@ Good to Be A Queen, Welcome to my Palace! (Thanks Angie)

My sweet friend Kristin @ These Little Girls of Mine sent me a lovely e-card and and email and I also got a sweet email with Birthday Wishes from my friend Veronica @ Veronica's Blog. (I have kinda adopted these two sweet gals!)

I also got a sweet Birthday Greeting from Kelly @ Kelly's Korner, and also one from her mom Judy, @ His Doorkeeper. I follow Kelly and keep up with her little baby Harper. She is adorable. Please pray for Harper as she is having surgery on Sept. 17th to remove and extra toe and some skin tags from her hands.

At lunchtime my special friend Myrna came and picked me up and took me to lunch at the Rib Crib, and then we went to get Strawberry Sundaes at Dairy Queen, and then we went to see her little Grandbaby Kelsey, who turned one on August 20th. She is a little sweetie, and I always love to see her and get my hugs and kisses.

My special friend for 30 years!

Later my sweet husband took me on a little date and we went to the movie. He wanted to take me to dinner afterwards but I started not to feel well so we just came on home. And I have had a sick migraine ever since! UGH!

But I am so thankful that I had a nice day and that I got to spend some fun time with my friend and my hubby too.

This is my last year to be in my fifties! Where does time go? It really zooms by, but I am still "Livin' Life and Lovin' It!"

It sounds like you had a really nice birthday, other than getting the migraine. (That's really too bad!)

Your flowers are beautiful. I love having flowers around the house, too. I don't get them too often, but that just makes it more special when I have them. They really cheer you, don't they?

Hey There My Sweet Friend!
Glad your birthday was great, the flowers are beautiful(he did good).
I truly grew up in the Appalachian mountains, if we didnt can it, string it, freeze it,pickle it or skin it than the winters were long...I am only 48, but we never had indoor plumbing until I was 13..All of my family still live on the "holler" except for my daughter and my self....Now you know why I'm crazy.....

So sorry you haven't been feeling well! I saw your comment on Kristin's blog that you were sick on your stomach AND had a migraine. I would rather do anything than have to...you know....puke. ugh. I have a phobia about it. Hope you feel better!!!
