This morning after viewing my daughter's blog (Dancing Barefoot) and seeing this beautiful picture of a sunset, I was inspired to write this poem. When I looked at it I couldn't help but think of our wonderful Creator.
My Creator
Oh the beauty of this world and how it thrills my heart
My Creator spoke the words and gave it all its start
No Picasso or Van Gough could measure up to Him
Every tree and mountain top speak to me of Him
Yes they speak right to my soul and I spring forth with praise
As I view the ocean deep and hear the pounding waves
The music from the singing birds,... or watching as they fly,
Brings laughter to my listening ears then almost makes me cry
Such beauty my Creator gave us freely to pursue
We all just need to look around and treasure what we view
Don’t walk on past a sunset without a second glance
Just drink in all the beauty,… let it put you in a trance
Our lives fly swiftly by us and we need to take the time
To enjoy the children smiling as they sing a little rhyme
As their legs jump fast and furious while they turn their ropes
I can see the joy within their eyes, their future, and their hopes
There is so much good that’s out there in this world that points to Him
You know there is a reason,…He didn’t do it on a whim
He wants you to embrace Him and to claim Him as your King
And then just like the children you can let your laughter ring
Oh the joys that He can give you, oh the comfort that He brings
Oh the wonder of forgiveness that within your heart can ring
All of nature shows His power, yet He died upon a tree
Laid His life down as a token of His love for you and me
He rose again to claim the victory over death, and hell, and sin
Yes this wonderful Creator did it all...your heart to win!
Won’t you please say you’ll accept Him, and the gift He longs to give?
It’s so easy,…don’t reject Him,…why choose death when you can live?
Live with Him in all His beauty, in this world,…then heaven too
Just say “Jesus, yes I need you,…my Creator,… I love you"!

What a wonderful poem... We do serve an awesome creator, and His creation is beautiful. You've inspired me to "look around" today.
