1. First thing this morning I checked the devotion for today by Dr. Stanley. I hope you will check it out too, by clicking below. It is about giving The Lord..."Lordship" of our lives. We were eager to accept Him as "Savior"...but why is it we fail to to give Him Lordship? Too often we don't let Him have control. The Creator of all the beauty of this world deserves our devotion and love...and we need to give Him Lordship of our lives.

2. Saturday my husband and I drove "Flat Stanley" all around our town taking pictures of interest, with "Flat Stanley" also in the picture. It is for a school boy in another town who is studying about different communities. You feel kind of foolish holding up a little flat boy cutout in front of everything while traffic is going by wondering what in the world those old people are up to! (:>) Have you ever met "Flat Stanley"? A few years ago we took "Flat Adelynn" many different places with us. We went to Tennessee and took her to The Grand Ole Opry, to Memphis to Elvis' house, to the Biltmore Mansion...and many more places. We did such a good job for our granddaughter Adelynn's project that the same teacher asked us to do it for another child this year! (:>)

3. We are looking forward to the Valentine Banquet at church in a couple of weeks. It is formal or semi-formal , and the theme is "Cruise Ship Adventure". There will be Food, Fellowship, Friends, and Fun. They always come up with the best entertainment at those banquets. I will tell you all about it on here after it happens...and maybe even get some pictures.

4. Our granddaughter Abigail was in a Violin Trio yesterday at the Symphony. We didn't get to hear them play, but I am sure it was wonderful. She plays in the Youth Symphony, and we have gone several times to hear them. Here's a picture. She is the one with the dark hair.

Really enjoyed this! We had a "flat Ally" one time and our second daughter took her everywhere! She took tons of pictures, and we enjoyed it so much.

Sounds like a lot of fun doing the photo shoots with flat cut-out character. I bet the kids love it, huh?

You're so funny about Flat Stanley! :) My Stepmom and Dad did that for Kaylee a couple of years ago and he went to New Mexico with them. Ha! I will go check out Stanley's message....I thought I subscribed to his email, but I haven't been getting it. I need to look into that!

Oh I've met Flat Stanley before too! It has been a long time but I think it is so fun for the children :O) And kind of fun to live outside the "norm" for adults to take a paper doll around and take pictures!!

I hope you all are staying warm. The winter weather is here. I've been up since 5 this morning waiting to see if they closed work. Butterfly woke up too because she wanted me to stay home. Well I give all the glory to God because I'm home today and it is still early!! We are watching Angelina Ballerina and dreaming of nap time later today ;O)

Have a wonderful day !!!

Hi Linda! Thanks for visiting my place today! We have three horses right now. We also had a two mules, but one died and we sold one when we moved~ they were large mules for riding and the rode just like horses. I have ALWAYS loved horses since I could toddle my mom tells me!

We won't be having a Valentines Banquet this year because our brand new church is still small in number. I had a blast last year at the other church we attended though! What a great time!

I hope that you are staying warm. Don't go out if you don't have too... and cook up a storm! LOL HUGS

Oh, the wonderful Stanley. I have had two visits from this flat fellow. My granddaughters still have the books that I made for them. My girls here in Alabama, never got the chance to have Stanley. But they did have fun helping me take him different places. It was such fun.
