Walk at Home

Walk at Home

with Leslie Sansone

A few years ago I lost 60 pounds by walking with Leslie Sansone DVD's. It was easy and I loved it. I kept the weight off for awhile and it felt so good. Unfortunately I had an episode with a slipped disk and a pinched nerve that made me stop...plus I hurt my foot, so I became sedentary again and put my weight back on.
Because I have other health issues, I have not felt well for quite awhile. And since I put my weight back on that is adding to my problems.

This morning I got up at 6AM and decided I would try to start the one mile walk routine again. I wasn't sure if my foot would hurt, or if my neck would tense up...but I am desperate to feel better, so I thought it was worth a try. And...I DID IT!!!! I am hoping I can work up to the 2 and 3 mile eventually...but for now I am just hoping and praying that I can continue to do the 1 mile and get myself going again. Please pray for me.

Way to go, Linda! I am trying to get back into exercising, too, after having Molly. I did a work out on our new kinect the other night, and it was low key, but I was sore for two days afterwards! Whew! Small steps in the right direction will surely bring you great results in the long run! Stick with it!! Good luck!

I'll be "rooting" for you to be able to continue your walking. It does feel good to be more active--I'm working on that myself--and hoping that I can continue to ride my new bicycle.

Cheering for you! I've got similar issues and hate being in pain when overextending myself with walking. All the best!

Way to go..... I know the feeling...I had been going to Curves every morning, but issues with my upper back made it that I was not able to do the upper back exricises anymore... The pain was so unreal, so Bud ask me to quit...however, I have not taken up walking and I really should have. I know it would make a difference for me too.

That's awesome, Momma! I have been trying to walk on my treadmill lately too. It is amazing how just a 10 pound weight gain can really make you feel bad.....that's what I've been feeling lately anyways. I hope you are able to keep at it. We can cheer each other on!

Linda,

What a wonderful accomplishment!! I love workout videos. My favorite of all time (right now) is my "Pilates for the Soul" by Theresa Rowe. It is a bit more difficult but there is scripture read along with lovely music. I love it! I will pray that you will be able to keep walking!!! And that it will help you start to feel better.

God bless you dear friend :O)

Linda,

Thank you for your prayers. My little one will have to go to the doctor tomorrow. Her temp came up right before bedtime and then she got really bad croupy. It scared both of us so bad and we went running down the stairs to grandma. Mom had this nasty stuff last week, please pray for dad and me, especially dad because of his asthma.

Hugs ((minus the germs))
